The tour starts from the cathedral of Naples where you can visit the treasure chapel and the basilica of S. Restituta, dating back to the fourth century. You will also take a walk in Piazza Plebiscito to visit the Royal Palace and the beautiful neoclassical church of San Francesco di Paula. After a walk to the Town Hall Square and the New Castle, built by the French family of Anjou, you will have the chance to take some photos and some time to enjoy the splendid view of the picturesque city of Naples from the Posillipo terrace.
Continuing towards the enigmatic ruins of Pompeii, the largest archaeological site in Europe, you will see the Forum, the Baths, the House of Vetti and the brothel of Lupanare, buried by volcanic ashes from the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 b.C.
Take a lunch break before continuing on to the Sorrento sea cliffs lined with luxury hotels and a tangle of lemons. Immerse yourself in the rich culture and history of the Sorrento Peninsula while walking along the narrow streets with panoramic terraces overlooking the magnificent Gulf of Naples, Capri and Mount Vesuvius.
